The ambitious surge in warmth fomented Lady Amaterasu that strikes in the morning surprises many who have already resigned themselves to wearing thicker clothes. Light silks are back, at least during the day. A sharp northern wind that blew through the city around dawn cast away the clouds and fogs, revealing a stark, beautiful day. It is a slightly strange taste of air that seems to be carrying the taste of ash and soot is what worries some, but others get swept up by the concentration of celebration about to happen within the scope of just one day!
Well, exactly two. When Lady Sun is highest throngs gather at the Chrysanthemum Plaza in anticipation of Prince Jama's proclamation of imminent commencement of the First Voyage. The joyous follows on the heels of the momentous as in the evening the wedding at the Temple of Sacred Light is being held about a week ahead of schedule, to accommodate Prince Jama's presence as rumour has it. Massive celebration of Noriko's and Ietada's wedlock, organised impromptu by Moshi Zenshiro, overtakes the Moshi Wharf and its cosy vicinities almost completely. It lasts deep into the night as the weather is favourable, comprising some chill and a light breeze, just enough to keep weak heads endure a little more of the ever-present alcohol, provided by none other than Yasuki Shingen. As the celebrations suck out most of the night-goers to the northern neighbourhoods, parts of the city toward the south turn remarkably quiet. In many houses across the Pan houses are locked and blockade from inside. It's full moon...
