All was well, the armada had reached port safely, Wataru was happy that it was so, though the pain in his body reminded him that next time he should also dedicate some time to saving himself. But that was in the past, and now the samurai needed to get back to business, and part of it was looking for a place for his men to stay and train.

In the afternoon Wataru headed to the Plaza de Contratación where he was pointed out when he asked for directions to gobernador, as he would ask.

In the bureau of the Governess at the Plaza a particularly flamboyant man seemed to be holding office hours. He looked at Wataru sceptically, assessing the quality of his clothes, first indicator if he had to deal with a serious businessperson or a waster of time.

"How can I help you, Senor?"

Wataru had been able to get what was remaining of his things and change into proper samurai clothing, kimono of green with the mon of the Mantis. He would need to get local clothes as well, but that would be later on. He knew that he should be on his best look for the occasion.

"Konnichiwa" he greeted the man before him with a quick bow. He knew, more or less, the etiquette of the gaijin, but was unsure of which gaijin nation this man could belong too, or what tongue he spoke. When he spoke, he tried to make small indications of what he meant. "My name is Gusai Wataru", he said as he pointed to himself, "navigator of the Ashitae Maru", he made a motion to his astrolabe so that he would undestand, "Commander of the Imperial Teppoudo", he finally added, and to avoid any bad interpretation of him taking or pointing to the pistol, he just went back to leaving his hands to his side. He hoped that the man spoke Rokuganí, or this could be rather awkward.

"So you don't speak the language of civilised people, Senor?" The young hunky man in a flamboyant hat frowned, not really piercing the gibberish. "Why don't you bring a translator then? Business here is only in Merenaese, sometimes Mekhem."

Wataru shrugged his shoulder, he did not understand a word, and it seemed like the other didn't either. At least he didn't introduce himself back, or made any notion of understanding him. The samurai even started to feel uncomfortable in the presence of the man before him... his many doubts after his failure in understanding gaijin cultures started making him uneasy, and he could feel the sweat starting to build up on his forehead.

"Ummm... etooo..." He started mumbling notoriously, he could only but ask for the person he was looking for. "Muhaki Yubari-sama?"

The man rolled his eyes and made a hurling motion toward beyond Mount Kappa. "Are, are."

The samurai thanked the man and turned his way. He would not find the Muhaki today, and he wondered if she would speak Rokuganí or would also just speak the islanders language.
