Hikari was... possibly a little lost. But that fact did not deter her from dashing in and out of shops of a wide range of varieties. Sometimes she left empty handed; other times she added something to her growing collection of what could only be described as... trinkets. Or junk. Certainly none of it seemed particularly practical; but for some reason she seemed happy with it. |

Ringo roams around the marketplace picking up some things as well for his new lodgings. He spots one of the new Imperial princesses he met before and greets here with a bow. "Konnichiwa Seppun-sama. Have you had your rice today?" He eyes the purchases that she made with some interest. |

"I found a place as well but it is pretty shabby. I just took it because the rent is low and my projects are probably going to drain my finances." |

Ringo thinks about that for a moment. "Well one of them is not really that personal. I am working to try to understand the compass that the gaijin develop. I wish to make it more portable and improve upon the design. Oh... I should explain what a compass is. It is an instrument that points North." |

Hikari was well-read and far from lacking in the intelligence department after all, references to such a device would not have eluded her, especially not in their current environment. "Question is, how would you improve upon it beyond simply making it smaller and lighter?" |
