An empty mind, that was what one needed in a duel, and most samurai sought that with the sword, Yasuhiro had always used a bow though. After leaving the dueling circle, Yasuhiro had collected his bow and gone out walking. He should be at the beached right now attending the funeral, but the way he was feeling he simply wished to be away, at least for a few moments.

Stringing his bow, he faced the line of trees, letting everything fall away as he looked for a target, finally selecting a single leaf in the distant trees. Sadly his arrow went wide, his focus on trying to hit the center throwing him off, still he drew another arrow and made his preparations again.

fluffy Kyujutsu tn 30 to hit a leaf. 4 raises for center of lleaf tn 50 Center stance: 10d10ro1o10k5+2 43

And then, behind him, the world went mad. The sky darkened and shed first lighting when a great serpent emerged from the southern waters, bringing some of their dead during the storm hooked on its scales. In an overture to a pandemonium, the giant orochi started to swirl and rock, making great waves that would rush toward the shores like small tsunami, causing panic and havoc in the funeral gathering on the long beach to the east as people tried to evacuate before water would claim them. In the swirling, the bodies got tossed away over many hundred feet, falling into the water and onto the shores. In its final act of destruction it hit Yamato Maru with its tail and sent it toward the shores where it dug in the shallows, quite near Yasu, heavily damaged, losing crew during its short flight. Finally, the serpent dropped back into the waves and vanished. It all lasted maybe a minute or two...

But it might not be over yet.

[Yasu has the permission to join the Funeral thread (i.e. approach Yamato Maru or help save Jama or someone from his entourage) if he wants; one thread per slot rule is waived for this particular case.]
