Edogawa was there to assess the damage to the Yamato Maru, But, if he could help with the ritual in some way, he would. |

There was still much to be done about the earlier battle. However, Akarei needed to be there for her own ship. "At your command, Seppun-sama." |

Susumu was there, armored and ready for trouble. He would have prefered to lead an action against the sand castle but well...with what? |

[The event can still be joined.] Hikari's Idea That May Work (tm). Quote: Establish 4 wards around Yamato Maru, then channel the linking cross-cutting energies onto the sand castle. The approach is a problem, so booths and barricades should be made, then run with to the spot and held as long as it takes for a shugenja to arrive to place a ward. Some time needed to shoving the loose sand away in that place is needed, so it cannot be just run & ward, sadly. It's of course easier if the shugenja puts the barricade in place, then establishes the ward themselves, but the intensity of goo fire will probably disallow that. Once wards are in place, shugenja should pull back and actually conduct a ritual to do so. [Make a coordination thread in OOC, I will be posting rolls now.] |

[You can roleplay throughout the event, matching interactions and rolls. Flailing, fuming and despairing in the basecamp as others run with the barricades is legit.] |

As everyone began to gather, Edogawa started cobbling together ship pieces. Soon, they had a secure place to make their preparations. - - - D8, EA, An Opening, Step 0, Craft: Shipbuilding/Intelligence TN 25: 9d10o10k4 26 |

Once the base camp was secured, Ran began building. She put blinders on and only focused on what she needed to do, here and now - what she could do to help. She put her hands to good work, grabbing what she could, tying pieces together for stabilization, and securing the load so it could be carried but large enough to protect samurai from the incoming onslaught of goo. "One barricade!" she called out as her handiwork was ready, and she set to work on the second. D8 EA Step 1: Intell/Craft:Shipbuilding Void 1k1 TN 25: 3#6d10o10k4 37 26 26 |

"Got it!" Edogawa picked up the barricade and raced to the intended position. He zipped back and forth, weaving around the hazards of the beach and attacks from the castle. Soon, the barricade was in place. - - - D8, EA, An Opening, Step 2, Craft: Defense/Reflexes TN 15: 5d10o10k3 27 |

While the engineers went to work on the barricade, Hikari offered a quick prayer to the kami, strengthening her mental faculties. Then she ran over to the barricade... fell on her face halfway there... making it on the second run, and once more called upon the kami... succesfully placing down a ward. "Second barricade!" Ran exclaimed, finished the second. It was not as sturdy as the first, but it would hold. |

"You should be safe here, Seppun-sama, until you need to place another ward." Edogawa nimbly raced back to the others, prepared to build the final barricade. - - - D8, EA, An Opening, Step 5, Craft: Defense/Reflexes TN 15: 5d10o10k3 54 |

Has Edogawa was running with the first barricade, Susumu had stripped himself from his armor and shirt to be ready for his part. Still flexing as the second barricade got finished, he did not make Ran wait for long before he picked it up and dashed towards the waters. Once in his training kicked in and effortlessly brought his charge into position. |

"Third barricade! Next!" Ran had exhausted the debris and etc she had in her vicinity - she was done her part of making barricades, they all held true. She hoped the next part would go off brilliantly as well. Her gaze kept tracking back to Seppun Hikari-sama, despite the chaos on the beach. |

Hikari bobbed and weaved to the next ward site; made a quick prayer entreating the kami, and then placed down the second ward. The rest would be up to her yoriki, who was more skilled in the art of warding. Reflexes/Defense, TN23, VOID: 6d10o10k4 42 Spellcasting: Sense (Fire) TN43?
