Come evening, Tori makes her way along the beach, making very preliminary observations on the environment and fauna by one of the most ancient and time-honored of methods. Poking things with a stick. She's careful, and sensitive of which parts of an ecosystem are delicate or robust, but it gives her a good idea of interaction and reaction, of what is predator and prey, and of how to minimize damage to the local wildlife with the Explorers' operations.
