It was one of the dead periods of the day; the trainers will still working, those around the area were shopping and focusing on other matters than food and good tea. The staff could at least stand a few moments away for them to eat and relax. It also allowed the Ichiro time to sip his tea and enjoy the moments of quiet.

Things could be done for the shop, of course, but if one did not get the chance to take care of themselves as important as their duty. Eating a simple kenchin along with some notes, his attention turned inward as he left himself to what was to come for the day.

Food. Sustenance. Perhaps some tea. Kuuru bumbled into the tea shop, his irritation almost radiating off him. He hadn't had a bite all day, he needed something in his stomach to sate the growling beast. He was about to find some quiet corner place where no one would disturb him, until he spotted a familiar face. He stopped where he stood and contemplated for a good long while, where he knew the large badger from. Hmm... Gunpowder, sweat... Sumo wrestling something something... Oh right! College! What was his name... Ka something... Bah! He'd remember it at some point. He walked beside the sizeable badger and gave a small bow.
"Good day Badger-sama, my name is Kaiu Kuuru, I believe I know you from somewhere, do I not?"

The Badger gives a long, hard look at the man. He could tell he looked about his age, maybe. He could be older. Time had not been kind of the Kaiu.

A few moments later and it struck him; he couldn't recall it off the top. Maybe he was a fan in his stage, or a fellow sum--no..he was not that. That was made obvious by his figure.

He smiled and greeted him all the same. It was time to play the usual court game of being reminded where he knew him from. "Oh yes! Kaiu Kuuru. It has been a long time, Kuuru-san. Truely, a small world to be in to have your happenstance upon my establishment. Please, please have a seat." He motions to one of the tables in the dining area.

Well, so much for my food.

Kuuru thanked the Badger enthusiastically, taking a seat and ordering some food from a nearby waitress. "How have you been since our last meeting Ka...Jima-San? It looks like you have done quite well for yourself."

"Yes..." He smiles and looks at him, desperately trying to place the face with the name without making it too obvious. "Well, you may remember I was doing sumo. I actually did fairly well and made a name for myself in that for quite a few years. About 2 years ago, I decided I had done enough and focused on this tea shop and some trade. Has done pretty well for me."

He smiles and glances at him, hoping the next question brings back a jolt. "So, how about you? I assume you've done well...as a engineer, was it?"

Kaiu were Engineers. It was the likely choice, though he had met a few who did other things.

"Yes, Sumai, yes I recall." Kuuru scratched his chin.
"Me? Oh. Well there's always something to improve! But life has been good for me recently, my wife and I had our first child, and I've kept busy making my machines."
