The Scorpion was enjoying himself at the party. Such delightful little news from every corner, centered in this nice little garden. Not to mention the events that had transpired.

It would be a busy season of talk with all the little heresay that was coming from the Imperial Matchmaker's garden.

And Anzai was glad to be there for it.

Another one was gaining in attention at the party, and it took some effort for her to excuse herself away from the gathering that had flocked to her. Having a moment of breath, the Lady Agasha breathed deeply and composed herself... then noticed the nearby Scorpion.

A nod of acknowledgement was given to the Rose Whisperer.

Anzai saw the elegant woman, shutting his fan for emphasis, offering her a cunning smile. Slowly walking over to her, he offered a bow. "Quite the party, don't you think? So much that will have to be spoken about..."

His miscolored eyes, behind his mask, focused on the woman's own. "Shosuro Anzai. A pleasure."

"Such gatherings always tend to offer much for those who need to gossip," she smiled in return, perfectly polite, despite the subtle barb towards gossipers. "Agasha Utsusemi, an honor, Shosuro-san. You seem to be rising swiftly in popularity in this town."

Her fan on the other hand, remained open, and slightly raised - there was still a wall between them, though a tad lowered.

"Not as much as I've heard of you, Agasha-sama." He was all smiles, despite the slight jab. He knew his own abilities and reputation. Let them think what they want.

It served his purposed well, as a Scorpion.

He noted the wall still erected. She probably had heard much about him. His mind could wander about her, but he would say nothing to that extent.

"Quite the surprising turn of events, considering the little bit of news. But that's enough of that. Are you excited to be a part of the expedition?"

"I suppose I would be lying if I said I was not excited for it," Utsusemi chuckled, letting out some of her warmth in the sound. "'Tis not every day one has the chance to embark on such a journey. And yourself, Shosuro-san? I assume you are greatly looking forward to it as well?"

The fan moved in a gentle motion, a way of saying that she was interested in the conversation.

"I am. It should have much to discover and for us to spread our enlightened ways." He flicked the fan again, looking about the room for a moment, then to the Agasha woman before him. By the color of her hair, her reputation, he was safe to assume she was a Crane.

"But I am much more excited about our corps. It seems we are composed of a very fine selection, present xompany included. Should make for excellent conversation, ne?"
