The freckled ronin entered the sumo house, sort of excited to actually see a match - she had not witnessed one before. But! Before that, she would find a staff and inform them she was in search of the man called Gamon, that she wished to speak with him. She wore silks the colour of autumn, rust and sunset, flowers embroidered on her long sleeves. Her brown hair was greying prematurely, and pinned back in a simple knot behind her head. Her gaze was curious, hopeful. Introspective. |

Gamon was actually adjudicating a bout when she entered. She missed most of the show, however, as a thundering thud on he ground heralded a defeat for the big guy on the left by the hands of a smaller guy on the right. Even in sumai the bigger was not always winning. Gamon raised the score fan in the air and shouted the end of the match. |

She moved quickly over to the man she was directed to, and waited for him to finish yelling. She bowed low. "Gamon-sama. This one is called Ran. I ... well. How do I say this. I think we need to talk?" Her eyebrows ruffled and she quirked her head a little to one side, insinuating needing a moment of privacy. |

He looked at her with a frown. "Watch some bouts first, kid. I am not done here. Then we can talk if you must." There was no malice in his eyes. He was just cautious. |

"Oh! Oh absolutely, I am available at your leisure." She bowed to him again, and found a seat. Her interest was keen, her eyes bright, she seemed to be memorizing everything she saw, and her fingers itched in her hand, wishing she had brought papers and charcoal to take notes. |

She was infatuated. She did not cheer, as she did not know the sumo to choose sides. Ran always liked to know more information before she committed to anything. |

And when she might have thought it could not get any better, a very swoonworthy maegashira entered the next bout! He was well-liked, with many crying out his name. "AKACHIKARA, AKACHIKARA!"

Her chin rose so she could see, she found herself on tiptoes to get a better look, drawn in completely now, her concentration on the dohyo like a hawk. He was very handsome. A bit of colour rose to Ran's cheeks, and she nodded slightly, impressed to see what he would do. |
