The lion frowned, he could defiantly find his way back of need be, but any other survivors would have to be quite skilled if they planned to make it to store. Still he felt he should look a bit harder, his captain was missing after all, along with the Commander of the Teppodaka. He wasn't quite sure what the creature was, though it seemed to be a uglier version of a boar. If he was hunting he might try to down it, but at the moment the young lion had no interest in it. Retrieving his bow, he slowly stung it, sure to not make any sudden movements before he began to slowly back away. There was no need to provoke the dangerous animal after all. |

The animal was cautious, but not frightful. It eventually emerged from the mangroves and entered the peat with a satisfied oink. The beast was large, but still looked more like a sow than a hog. |

Sadly a sow was not what he needed, it did suggest there could be a boar nearby, eventually deciding to ignore the pig he returned to his search. The sow let him pass, and a litter of wieners soon joined her in the joyful bogue plunge. There was much porcine rejoicing. Yasuhiro found himself soon out of the marshland, proceeding upstream. The terrain ascended slightly and while the ground was still soaked, it gave way to a variety of vegetation that would not weather salinated soil. Soon he encountered a field of flowering herbs he could swear where somewhat medicinal.

Honestly, Yasuhiro wasn't a expert on flowers, but if these were medicinal in nature, it would prove beneficial to collect a sample. He really had little In the way of places to feel them though. Afters a few moments thought, he emptied his coin into the bottom of his quiver and went to collect a pair as a sample, careful to make sure there were no thorns to prick him. Tying the bundle to his Saya; to avoid the bundle fetting crushed, he looked around. The water here waa most likely clear, so he'd have to widen his search. There might be survivors around. |

There was an archer in the woods to the right, maybe a huntsman. He chose not to be seen for now, but a reflection of the sun on a metal buckle on his hat betrayed him. |

Yasuhiro's initial thoughts were to shoot the man for hiding from his betters. He did remember he was in foreign lands though, and the man hadn't offended him yet. So instead he began to stalk in the mans direction, making a waving gesture for the man to come join him and adding in a few words. "Why dont you join me." |

There was some palpable hesitation, but then the other archer stepped out of the thicket.  You wouldn't know with the gaijin, but the girl looked young. She lowered her bow. "I don't know what you're saying, strange man, but if you're hunting razorbacks, then you're poaching. You need a nod from one of the three to do so and I would have seen you around if you had it." Her voice was melodic and mellow, a singing voice no doubt. |

Yasuhiro stared at her rather blankly for a moment, one might even suspect he didn't understand a word she had said. That was only half true though. "Should of never expected a gaijin to speak a civilized tongue." "I am not hunting your pigs... Shojo." He offered, the sentence halting and with a heavy accent. "I am hunting for people, crew. Pigs are safe from me." |

He frowned softly, the girl seemed to have misunderstood him, he wasn't sure what 'ominous' meant, but her demeanor gave away that much. "Crew is lost, fell off ship in big storm last night. I am hunting them to find them.m, and return to ship." At the question of a name his frown deepened. "One should say name before asking name in return Shojo." He replied dryly. "I am Matsu Yasuhiro no Koritome, first officer of the Ashitae Maru." This was followed by a shallow bow, not quite a insult, but close. |

The motion she made was a foreign one, and he could only assume it was meant to be polite. Perhaps he would have to ask at a later time. "Just Matsu-sama, is good." He offered, pronouncing the name slowly, in case it might help. "Help would be good, kind of you to offer Agata-san. Many missing, some dead. Osano-wo was very angry."His pronunciation of her name was quite poor, but he at least tried. It would likely take some practice though. |

"Suitengu was angry, bit it is not him that brings storms." Yasuhiro offered in response, assuming that the vengeful sea was her name for Suitengu. Looking in the direction she pointed he took a moment to compare it from where he came from, nodding a few times to himself before setting off. He should be able to find his way back if he had to. "It's Matsu... Mat Su" Yasuhiro explained carefully, hoping she would get it this time. "That seems a good place to search, Shojo Agotah" He followed up with. "Are you sure you no need to hunt pig?" |
