Last night missives had been sent to the staff of the Imperial Navy that the future proceedings with regard to Yamato Maru and other supernatural phenomena of late would be discussed during the meeting early into the next day.

Morning mist did not fully recede into the jungles up the slope and into the north when Yajinden was already at the designated spot, in a small arcaded courtyard of the estates.

"Good morning, Asahina-sama." Edogawa offered a deep bow as he arrived. "I hope your time on the island has been enjoyable, so far."

Susumu really did not understand what was going on with Sakkaku but wanted to help if he could now that he had finished his trade with Anwar-sama. A diversion could help keep the ritual from any interruptions after all.

"Good morning mina-sama"

Hikari looked a little tired, but otherwise presentable. Her arrival was swift, given where she'd made her abode, and she gave a polite bow to those present.

The Mantis turned to bow to the magistrate when she arrived.

"Seppun-sama"

The Scorpion came into the meeting with a blank expression on her face. She made the effort to give everyone a proper bow but otherwise remained silent for the time being.

"Greetings, mina-san. Could someone offer me a greater insight into what happened at the beach yesterday than I was able to observe myself?" Yajinden spoke coolly, looking at nobody in particular.

Ran also arrived, bowing low as was proper. When the Crane made his request, her gaze landed on the Seppun.

"An infestation of mujina from the realm of Sakkaku," she answered, wearily. "Such creatures enjoy playing pranks on people, but normally not on this scale. It seems something had been preventing them from their normal fun. Now that is no longer the case, and the mujina are making up for lost time, I believe."

Yajinden nodded. He either was not surprised or didn't show it.

"This something, what is the chance of it being put back into place? Would it alter the disposition of the unleashed spirits?"

"This was to the south, correct?" Edogawa asked. "There is a large passage into the Spirit Realms to the north. I wonder if they are related."

"I have been preparing for a ritual that should see the matter resolved and allow the ship to be salvaged. As for the other portal, I do not believe they are related; though if Miya-san has personal experience with this portal, I would like to hear about it. *Especially* if there is a relation to his past experiences with portals."

Yajinden raised one brow, looking between both Imperials.

"Of course." he nodded. "If there is any chance it may help, with the Yamato Maru and with our efforts in general, then I will explain what I can."

"Two days ago, Kitsu Keiji-sama and I sailed north to explore." he began. "Once we entered the mists, we began to see things, individually, that others did not. I saw a ship in the distance and heard a voice. It felt like a memory, but was incomplete, the way some dreams can be. Keiji-sama saw saragasso vines pulling at the shop. We've both encountered that before, in Gaki-do. I was eventually able to see them as well and assist him, as the ship I saw disappeared into the distance. There was another spirit observing, who explained that that passage was vast, as if something enourmous had torn through the area. We eventually emerged from the mists, but not before seeing, and narrowly evading, a giant web."

"The passage almost certainly connects to Gaki-Do in some way, but I don't think that was all. The ship I saw was not guided by a gaki. It may have been from Yume-Do or could have been connected to another realm." he shrugged. "We did find an island with ancient ruins that we intend to return to. It is overgrown and the jungle was too difficult to navigate, but it seemed like a promising find."

She listened, expression inscrutable, and finally nodded.

"Though I can not stop you, I would not recommend a return visit through the mists."

"We are tasked with exploring the northern waters, Seppun-sama. I will not abandon that duty." he shook his head. "But, it sounds like I may be spending some time repairing one of our ships."

Susumu raised a hand to speak...and keep things on track

''I do not know much about the realms and so I am glad to know that Seppun-sama as a ritual in the work.''

He paused

''I simply would like to know if a diversion would be needed to keep Sakkaku from interrupting or if guards are required''

"If diversions are to be made during the ritual, this one hopes they are wary of illusions that may muddy what one protects and what one attacks." Ran offered.

When all had arrived, Seppun Kaiya was likewise in attendance. Greeting each and every Samurai most personally with Sakia at her side and then beyond that took a position of willful neutrality in the discussion that was about to take place. Offering her the chance to observe what was being said while maintaining that she was here to listen to what others had to say.

"The northern waters and the spirit realms are two different locations, though as I said I can not stop you. A less dangerous route to this island, if it exists in our realm, would still be preferable."

Then she inclined her head as the Mantis brought her back on track.

"It is unlikely the creatures will simply allow us to work uninterrupted, and as Muhaki-san points out they have already showncase a command of illusions which might complicate things."
