Kaiya, once again, bowed her head in acceptance. It would be an Honor to train with the man deemed worthy to protect a prince of Rokugan. Furthermore, to more directly work with and learn from a man she knew well enough to know there was some extent in which she could trust him was another boon to this situation. Much was working exactly to her favor and Kaiya was pleased with the smoothness of this transition.

That she remained true in this apparently trying time surely factored into this rise among her peers.

Jama nodded.

"Let it not be delayed then. I shall retire to the estates now but I will leave Suru-san with you for the purpose of training. Seek my future attention as necessary."

He rose to gesture for Suru to approach to explain the arrangement to him.

[Kaiya can select one Skill from Yajinden's and one Skill from Suru's plausible skillsets. Until she reaches Rank 5 in them or until those men are no longer personally available she can treat those skills as College Skills]

Kaiya bowed, affirming her acknowledgement of the terms and then waited to rise until Suru had joined them. At that time, she bowed to the man as they joined together.

Jama would explain things to Suru briefly, and then depart.

The Phoenix eyed her dispassionately, assessing her deficiencies as a warrior and pondering the merits of Jama's decision even though he would never question them.

"Whenever you're ready, Seppun-san. There is a good practice field closer to the jungle."

Kaiya bowed her head, looking for Suru to lead the way to this spot he spoke of.

Suru was not a talker. But with the sword he was good, very good. His skill was deeply embedded in Murayasu's technique. Kaiya would learn a lot over that afternoon.

Kaiya was a bold, determined woman. Kaiya was never given the gift of voice but like any warrior she could speak volumes with her blade. Though it was not as tempered as that of Suru's own, the woman spoke of who she truly was as they sparred.

It would not be an afternoon to forget. For the lessons on both sides.
