Yasuhiro had fairly Impressive on most days, he wasn't able to completely hide his feelings though from Jama. There was a bit of disgust with the way Zabieru had been conducting himself. As well as a small clenching of his jaw when Jama admitted to knowing about some of these dangers for years.

That was all though and the Lion stood silent otherwise, awaiting further word from the Admiral.

((Rollto follow but failed.))

Berena bowed deeply, “It appears my question has created a misunderstanding for which I deeply apologize. I did not intend to suggest that the Throne lacks any such ability; we live to serve at the will of the Throne. I simply wished to have the will of the Throne be made clear so we may best serve the Emperor. Having heard the Prince’s will on this matter I will now relay it to the local authorities so we may more adequately serve the Throne and fulfill our divine mandate.”

Jama nodded to Haruka, then glanced at Berena and said nothing before addressing the group again.

"In the coming days, we wish you to organise for exploration of waters north of the island. While the environmental conditions and waters seem to be unforgiving, we believe in your seamanship. There seem to be land features to the north we wish searched."

He paused.

"We believe that the first person to explore the northern waters was the gaijin criminal Garen Hawthorne. His crimes against the Empire need not be mentioned as they are well-known. The Empire should find the way to find just retribution for them. Meted out on him if he is alive, on his complicit crews, descendants and eventually on his country. There is a likelihood that after he was routed from Rokugan he returned to these waters. If this is the case, we wish all traces of him be found and all his remaining assets be seized by the Imperial Navy. Finding redress for the treason of the White Stag may start here, and the deaths of Matsu Mochihime and Akodo Kurojin whose sacrifice saved the sacred life of the Daughter of Heavens may finally be avenged."

"Hai!" Keiji stood very straight. "Kunshu Maru will make ready to sail at once. It shall be done!"

Descendants and country? Maintaining her calm as she had before (previous roll), Utsusemi listened to what sounded like absolute lunacy. That Keiji easily agreed didn't surprise her, but she hoped that others present at least could see it for the foolishness it was. If the gaijin here were already outmatching them with weapons, then any attack on this foreign nation of Hawthorne's would be just sending people to their deaths... and dooming the rest of the Empire.

It certainly made some choices clearer for the future...

Edogawa looked puzzled for a moment. He certainly hadn't been expecting that. Given his own odd history with Hawthorne, the Miya appreciated the desire for justice, but it did seem like an extreme way to propose it. Jana did have his reasons, though.

"Investigating the islands to the north is vital to defending the citzens of Rokugan. We must be certain there are no threats hidden there that can endanger this island or its people." he spoke up. "It would be best to organize ourselves with numbers and skill in mind, regardless of ship or crew involved. I will be available to anyone who would like an extra hand on board, my duties to Amaterasu's Grace permitting."

Haruka restrained it as her training taught her, but even she seemed pleased by Jama's pronouncement.

The wheels of justice ground slow, but they ground fine.

Suihime wasn't entirely comfortable with how the meeting had gone at all. A duel to decide the fate of her First Mate, talk of conquering people, questioning the Unicorn...a small frown had slipped through, but she recovered as quickly as she was able to.

"The tasks are known. Asahina-san will handle the details."

Jama rose...

"May you walk in the blessings of Lady Sun."

...and walked out of the meeting with Suru and Tsugiko in tow.
