"See there is that lack of sleep catching up to you," she tutted, "Sunrise should not be too far off. Let's go have a look around." She gestured towards the shrine's door and turned towards it. |

He nodded, following her as she turned towards the door. His footsteps quiet, as if by instinct. He counted himself lucky, truly blessed by Benten in this. His gaze watching her, then looking out to the horizon. The pre-dawn light just barely beginning to break. "I should have brought sake, to toast in the daylight..." |

"Especially because of the company." He smiled back to her, as the first rays of light began to burn away the haze of darkness. Contentment settled in Anzai's features, sunlight cascading over the pair. He breathed in that first true deep breath of the morning, the sounds of nature beginning to stir with the sun. He didn't watch it. He watched her enjoyment of it. |
