Though Hikari was able to swallow back the involuntary tide that tried to rise within her, the surging bile still permeated her nose and palate in a way that blended with the smell from the corner which caused it in an comfortably seamless manner.

The hole which had been battered into the far wall opened into one of the larger alleyways, almost a street in its own right, but because of that the ground was much harder packed and so no readily discernible trail was immediately evident as it had been in the less traveled twists and turns from the site of the attack.
