That evening, Keiji had managed to ingratiate himself with the militiamen by buying a skin of wine and passing it around. The vinegary red wine tasted alien to his Rokugani palate. And yet, to the Imperial Explorer, the foreign flavor had the taste of adventure. "Not bad!" Keiji pronounced in his atrocious accent, before handing the wineskin to the next man. |
