For anyone able to appreciate wild nature, this is a misnomer. Gorges cutting the northwestern slopes of Mount Kappa are nothing but beautiful. However, most of the time they are obscured from being admired by deep northern mists that roll into them, filling them like milk fills a pot. But they run deep enough for the cloud not to get to the very bottom, creating surreal pathways with the mist undulating above the heads of those who traverse them. It's a tiresome journey, over slippery rocks, as many small springs coalesce here to form Razorback River. The careless would soon hurt and ankle or a knee.
The other thing this area offers is passages to the underworld. Cavernous openings big and small dot both sides of the gorges and they most likely are home to beasts that prefer to remain to be unseen to man... some of them prior to attack. What else they can hide is anyone's guess.
