Kenzo gave Utsu a smile. It was confident, as always, but also warm, thoughtful. "Very much so. I think I'm ready for just about anything, now."

Well, he still had to wash, and arrange his things for the day. But with such a bright beginning, he doubted that anything would be able to bring him down.

Like him, she still had to wash and dress for the day, but for now there was tea at least.

"I'm happy to hear that," Utsusemi nodded, sipping the tea calmly. "You take the bath first then, and we'll meet up later today for coffee and civets?"

Kenzo grinned. "Coffee and civets. That sounds wonderful. You certainly know the right things to say to me, Utsu." His lips quirked. "And at least a bit of baklava. I insist. You deserve a treat."

After a bit more tea and quiet conversation, Kenzo rose. Or rather, started to rise. Smiling, he leaned forward to brush his lips against Utsu's one last time before the day truly began. That was what would really make him ready for anything.

It was always hard, to step outside into the world and just be yojimbo and charge to everyone... but she always looked forward to the evenings when they could just relax in eachother's company again as they shared the events of their days.

And that parting kiss would stay with her until they reunited again after sundown.
