Susumu shook his head

''I am ready to apologise but I simply wished to explain myself''

"I believe you will find that the moment of opportunity might have passed, Gusai-san."

Rokuro kept his expression bland.

"Perhaps some politicians will be of use on this journey, should we encounter hostile natives."

''Of that I am sure.''

He put his hands on his hips

''But my first duty is to see everyone safe and sound. Not an easy task if the dangers are not properly recognised.''

Eri had given pause during her wanderings through the Marketplace, as a group of samurai seemed to be having a rather heated engagement; at least, two of them were, the other seemed to also be a by-standard or mediator of sorts. She watched for a few moments, and she could have sworn she had heard something about a magistrate right at the tail end of the conversation before one of the group turned to separate themselves. She began to approach with curiosity more than anything. Magistrates? A duel, maybe? Duels were always exciting, though she wondered if it would take place before she had to leave on the forthcoming journey. After all, she had no reason, yet, to think these young samurai are on the very same expedition.

"Is everything alright, Samurai-sans....?"

The captain turned to the new arrival an gave the Miya a bow.

''A disagreement that lead to an impass and a duel Miya-sama''

While he did not look pleased by the event, he did not seem to regret his words

Eri bowed in return, letting out a small sigh at the Gusai's words

"Well, that's unfortunate...and in the very near future it seems." Eri said; she did enjoy the excitement of duels, though it was unfortunate that most of such conflicts couldn't just be worked out without them as the final arbiter.

"Sorry, I had just heard a commotion, I didn't mean to intrude.." she said, bowing again, "My name is Miya Eri."

Rokuro nodded in greeting, and added, softly, "Suzume Rokuro. A pleasure."

Glancing after the Crane, he added, "I'll accompany Kakita-san. I should be present as witness." A small bow, and then he turned to go.

/exit?

She nodded back to the Sparrow. "That would be most welcome Suzume-sama. Until tomorrow Gusai Susumu." She gave the Mantis one last sharp look and then

/exits.

The Gusai seemed more relaxed once the pair of bird left

''It is not problem Miya-sama'' he replied giving a polite smile and bowing again

''I am Gusai Susumu, Captain of the Walrus''

Eri gave a small smile, "Oh, I'm sure it'll be worked out, just unfortunate time giving the circumstances. This is a time of celebration for a great many people; even if duels are divine arbitration, the conflict of it does tend to bring a bit of unhappiness I wish could be avoided." she gave a small shrug.

"I suppose it can't be helped. Walrus? That's an interesting name for a ship. Are you part of the expedition leaving the city soon?" she inquired, interest peaked. She looked forward to meeting all the various others that had been drawn together for the journey, and wondered what ship she would end up on.

A genuine smile crept in

''Yes, yes I am. The Walrus is a smaller ship than the four ones but it has been adapted to withstand the voyage''
