"To think an 'old beggar' feels so bold as to keep arguing with a Jade magistrate, especially one who'se the daughter of the Seppun daimyo. Truly, old age is magical." She closed her eyes for a moment, and then finally sighed. "Fine. Yogo-san will confiscate your goods, and you will find lawful employment that does not involve lying to the good folk of this city. Next time the law will not be lenient." |

The old man gave her a stunned look, suddenly aware of just who his path had crossed. "H-h-hai Seppun-oujo-sama," he stammered. He picked himself up and bowed deeply, then began to hesitantly back away from the Seppun princess towards whatever nearest corner he could pick out. His flimsy bamboo tray of trinkets lay discarded a few yards from the well, where he had dropped it during his flight. |

She took a deep breath. "Well, that was a waste of time. We'll just have to find likely locations tomorrow night and set some wards. Also, there's another matter I'll need to attend to tomorrow. You should come." |
