It seems to me it would strengthen the heavenly mandate of the First Voyage. And it would no doubt please Sadahako-kami herself, to be revered at the frontier of her Clan's effort." |

Ryoshida would probably like to question this for the preposterousness of a central place of cult to be far-removed from Rokugan but any kind of argument against it could set a precedent for denying legitimacy to the temples in the Isles. Besides, was it a bad thing that this particular Fortune would have a place of worship well away from where most Rokugani could reach? His features eased slowly, and his gaze sharpened. He didn't want to let Zazu off the hook. "I don't know how you're going to do that, Muhaki-san. The Explorers should not be preoccupied with endeavours that are your responsibility by Imperial mandate you've just acknowledged. In any other circumstance seeing you fail may have been acceptable for me, but on this your blunder would not be yours alone. Someisa daimyo has passed away, and that little..." Ryoshida had other adjectives in mind, but hey, Fortune. "...family has ever been, well, little. Is there even a single Someisa out there, or on the First Voyage?" The Mantis Champion smirked like a shark. "Did she have any children, Sadahako-kami, any heirs?" |

Present for the proclamation, the Phoenix remained as distant from the discussions as was polite. His mood was sour in general thanks to this assignment, and did not improve the announcement. More prestige for the Tortoise. Fantastic. There is absolutely nothing that can go wrong with this. He kept his expression blank though, and merely watched the movement of the players from afar. The choice of captains meant little to him. He was sure that he had been assigned to one of them somehow. |

Rokuro was not impressed by the wrangling of those present, over what was, as far as he was concerned, a largely irrelevant gesture. A fortune of Geisha wasn't, in his eyes, that important a matter. His gaze turned inward, so he didn't catch the lie from Muhaki Zazu. |
