Nari sat on the deck of the large ship, watching Edogawa reset one of the planks. It wasn't fully flush with the others, leaving a slightly uneven surface. It was very frustrating. Nearby, Quick Lopez leaned against a mast and looked out over the docks. There was little danger here, but it was a nice view. |

Wata walked past the big ship and looked at Edogawa placing the planks around. "You should also change that one there, and move that rope slightly to the side, where it can make your sails more efficient. Don't forget to sharpen your keel. It's rather broke down." The ronin smiled as he expected the Imperial to take his words wrongly. "This will make your vessel much efficient in seafaring, and will avoid unnecessary repairs further on." -That ship needs some ropes sorted, Int/Sailing. 2 Raises, TN 30: 41 |

The Merenaese man studied the ronin carefully, but Edogawa waved him off, offering the other man a smile. "Wata-san, it is good to see you. Please, come aboard." |

The ronin waved back at the Imperial one, and went up to the vessel through the docking plank. "Fine vessel you have, Edogawa-sama." He acknowledged as he marched up the plank onto the ship. "If they fix those few glitches, you might just be able to catch up to the speed of the Walrus." He added with a laugh. |

"The Walrus is in good hands." he nodded with a grin. "The rigging here will be set once we are ready to depart. I am focusing on the woodwork, for now." Looking around, the ronin could see the craftsmanship already put into the grand vessel. He could also see the work Edogawa had already completed this morning, to address the few remaining flaws. "Mighty vessel she is" repeated the ronin "sturdy as little I have seen before, except for those of the mighty Emperor of course." The ronin walked along the boats starboard, looking around with curious spirit. "Does she also have mighty weaponry on her?" |

"Hai, she does." he nodded. "Those specifics were overseen by Asahina-sama, though. Each of the four great carracks are nearly identical, but each has its charm." |

"Asahina Yajinden-sama is the quartermaster of the Imperial Navy and the Explorers, who has overseen every aspect of the fleet's construction." he shrugged. "That doesn't mean he designed any of it, but he is a very skilled craftsman." |

"I have heard about his craftsmanship, he seems to be one who has brought a great technological boost to the Empire. I have read some of his writings on shipbuilding and found them inspiring myself, but hadn't read anything on weaponry from him, must be because I haven't considered myself as a warrior, and had not paid attention to weapons." The ronin took a moment to think through, he really was of no use as a combatant, he would need to solve that somehow. The new technology allowed those less gifted in physical ways to be able to fight as well, he would need to study that. |

"It was the same for me." he nodded appreciatively. "Asahina-sama has unparalleled skill in many arts. I'm honestly not sure how versed he is in weaponcrafting, but he has an eye for quality and ability. If he could not see to the weaponry we need personally, I am certain he'd find someone who could." |
