He gave a sly grin, almost as to hide the growing doubt ''Yes, we will'' The words rang hollow in his head. While he wished for it with all his heart, he wondered if his champion would let his newly wed wife sail with the man who wanted her hand for his own. |

There was a smile, a small one, but then a slight blush as she held his gaze for a few moments. Then without warning, she leans into him, and placed her soft lips gently on his. A small, brief kiss. |

The kiss was wholly unexpected, more so from her, but he did not reject it. He savoured her lips it has much as he was able. A brief tase of what would have been in a better world. |

She broke the kiss after a few long moments, cheeks flushed as she opened her eyes and looked at him. "Forgive me for the lack of warning about the improper action" she whispered quietly "it was on impulse." |
