Since the game offers the opportunity for players to come from various gaijin backgrounds, there should be a way to determine their 'family' bonuses. The way to proceed with this is: 1. Check if they are in one of the released books for L5R 4ed 2. Check if they are in the LBS Core + its 4ed upgrade 3. Check if they are on the list below. If not, inquire the GM to determine the bonus. The following should be understood as 'national' bonuses. In future instances of the game we may differentiate between factions/tribes/clans within those 'nations', but this time we prioritise simplicity.
