The truth was, she had just gone to the purple mosque to observe it and listen. However, for her it was virtually impossible to not end up in a religious discussion while she was there. She was far too curious, and too interested in the subjected to resist giving her thoughts on the matter.

"... Of course, it's vague of the manner of her return. Is it really something we can just sit back and ignore or wait for? The world needs her ultimate compassion..."

Khenbish had been meaning to visit the Mosque. He wasn't deeply spiritual, and that had certainly contributed to his putting it off thus far. Taking one of the small, brightly-coloured mats from the pile near the door, he found a place none too close to any of the other worshippers. He knelt and lowered his forehead to the cool, smooth floor.

Temples were almost solely reserved for cities, and until coming to the Jewel, he'd never set foot inside one. He didn't know what words he was supposed to use, so he knelt in silence with his head bowed, listening to the hum of voices, the bustle of Little Aqahba beyond the peaceful walls.

He thought he heard someone discussing the Lost Daughter and opened his eyes, surreptitiously glancing about. His eyes fell on a young woman with pale green eyes. Khenbish got to his feet and returned the borrowed prayer mat to the pile.

The young woman was dressed in a kimono apparently made from fabric more appropriate to Medinaat al-Salaam, and wore a headscarf similarly more at home in the desert. However, the cut of the kimono and the obi were distinctively Rokugani. It was a mish-mash of aesthetics not too uncommon to the Unicorn that she made work for her. Noticing the other person looking over, she nods to him. Acknowledgment, and an invitation to join if he wished.

Khenbish was not, by his nature, a curious man. His hand rose to his collarbone and he touched the scar nestled in the curve of his throat, not seeming to be aware of the action. He quietly approached the strangely dressed woman and bowed politely, she must work with those whom I am here to meet, he thought.

He was dressed simply in a white kurta and matching sirwal, the kurta’s side splits allowing him access to the belt pouch and parangu - or machete in Merenaese - on his hips. The broad-bladed weapon had been ritually bound, a sash wrapped around the scabbard and hilt to prevent the weapon from being easily drawn. On his right sleeve were the mons of Shinjo and Moto.
