Did we have to get GM approval for our XP-spending?

If it's questionable or you aren't sure, then post a request here and someone(Kannon at the very least) will review it. That said, your's look fine.

Couldn't the people who lost their betrothed due to inactivity be rewarded the full amount of VIP? Or be recommend and given another equal bride in the case they never met her?

Seems a bit unfair otherwise, since we come out from that event at a huge loss.

Susumu and Suihime have closed themselves in Suihime's quarters during the thread on the Ashitae Maru for the day. Should I reply to their thread for Ran to board the ship, or make another thread?

The player may still come back. I'll review this policy closer to when VIP expenditures will matter.

I keep my scrolls on my person all the time. Do I need to roll to save possessions to save them or if I save myself will they be fine?

For the cumulative increase of +5 TN, is that per roll type or category?

Per option.

And things on you don't need to be saved.

Just to get this right.

If I do #2 Save The people a second time it's +5 to my tn's

If I do Watch out a Secodn time it's also +5 to the tn's

So if I do both on one roll it's +10 to the tn correct?

Utsu reminded me I have a FR for the Asako Loremaster tech. Is it acceptable to add a +5 to the roll for the FR, thus making it a success at 31?

Can the penalties for Captains/First Mates be reduced/removed when they are trying to save themselves or their belongings?

Do Seasoned Sailors crew have any effect on a ship with that feature?

No, +5 is just for repetition of options, not categories. So you can go one category without penalties as long as you choose different rolling options.

If they take it from Earth non-command action slots, that's assumed. For anything beyond that, you pull people into it and penalties apply.

Let's say they have 1FR per ship for grabs. Adding it.

Do those count as separate rolling options, or the same? Like, if I roll Lore: Nature/Fire, then Lore: Nature/Water, then Lore: Nature/Air, in that order, they'd be at +0, then +5, then +10, then I cannot roll Lore: Nature anymore at any TN?

They still count as the same roll, even if it has three options listed. So they suffer from the cumulative increase in TN.

That is correct. The TN penalty applies per repeated strategy, regardless of what roll is chosen within that option.
