[This thread is meant for Seppun Kaiya and Miya Edogawa.]

Consider a coconut. Round, hairy and hard. It might or might not have soft insides but your fave is unlikely to prove the point when it falls straight on it. It is hanging up there, over you, dangling on the morning breeze. The legs might not be there because you don't feel them, but the sand under your back is warm. The beauty of a tropical morning on a remote island in the middle of nowhere, this is how it feels. Cuts on arms hurt, but will they stop if you move? For now, considering the coconut from right under feels good. Even if it might be slightly perilous.

Edogawa tried to turn his head to look around, but a sharp pain kept him from looking away from the coconut. Then he remembered, the mizzen had thrown him against the bulwark. That's when he'd lost consciousness. But, what happened after that? Where was he now?

Opening her eyes to the sound of waves gently washing up the shore but not quite reaching her where she lay now. Warmth of sand on her back she had very little in the way of explanations for anything, needing to retrace her steps in the storm from some point she could remember.

She had been playing her flute on the deck when it happened, trying to keep people calm when that wave hit and it blurred her senses in a salty mess and suddenly darkness. Reaching up she brushed a hand through her hair gingerly in source of the spot. Finding it soon enough a light shock of pain shot from the source. Must have hit her head when she was washed from her position and from there little was able to keep her aboard.

Pushing herself forward, Kaiya rose to a seated position and looked at the beach in front of her first. Already seeing the curve of the island, whatever mass of land she was on it wasn't large by far. However, it was land and for that she could be thankful. Next step was looking over the rest of her person, clothing soaked and cut in a few places. All the movement stirred up something in her chest and she coughed, making little sound as the air escaped her throat.

Someone else was there!

Forcing himself past the pain, Edogawa shifted in the sand. He rolled his body towards the sound, hoping to see who else was on the beach.

"K-Kaiya...?"

Battered and bruised Kaiya looked to the sound, pausing as a shot of pain hit when she moved in that manner. Fighting the overwhelming feeling of her body wanting to just stop. Finding the blurry image of Edogawa not far off from her the woman smiled softly. Looking over to him she shared in knowledge that they both made it through their own ordeals.

What a curiosity it was that the two of them, through all odds, managed to wash ashore together wasn't lost on her.

Forcing herself to her feet she stepped over toward Edogawa so that he need not crawl to far. Leaning down to sit she fell more than finished a paced decent back onto her bottom. Looking to him directly now she offered a wearier smile, hiding how the movement seemed to ache every bone in her body. Sent sharp pins and needles along her skin and joints and utterly left her drained of the minuscule amount of energy she had stored in the short while.

It was progress though, and that gave her outward demeanor enough strength to maybe even be convincing.

With that aside, she offered a small nod in response. Sure not to forget to offer him an answer.

"Good." he pulled himself into position next to her. It took a few moments to catch his breath. "I wish you were safe somewhere else, but I'm very happy to see you."

Kaiya nodded her head carefully, before taking the moment to catch her breath. Closing her eyes as she sat beside Edogawa.

Kaiya shook her head as she seemed to laugh light. Holding Edogawa's hand as they sat there. Looking intently at their interlocked fingers. Forgetting for a moment how her muscles ached, how her skin seemed alight with the rawness of everything they've been exposed to.

Kaiya rolled her head slightly, as much as her body would allow, to mock deep thought on the subject. Finding it to be a playful, fun little game of thought to play as they remained on this beach together. Quite the fantasy.

"I think I want to just lay on the sand with you for a few hours." he chuckled. "But, that may make it harder for the boats to see us."
