A soft sea breeze blew on the sandy beaches, bringing with it sight of the Walrus. It did not take long before the ship's crew lowered a rowboat to allow the captain to reach the island. He observed the coral reefs carefully as he debarqued |

"Sisumu-san, if we decide to disappear together, we'll need to make some arranfements, first." he explained. "My situation needs to bcc e settled, in one way or another, and our decision will likely depend on that. If I must remain out here and disappear from the Empire, I'll need to secure resources and establish a few connections. So will, Kaiya, if she chooses to remain with me. That will require time. In that time, it is reassuing to know that she is tied to a man I trust and respect, who can keep her enemies at a distance." |
