Your character is a member of one of the vassal families, and their minor status makes it difficult for them to advance themselves politically. The following Advantages cost 1 more point: Allies, Blissful Betrothal, Different School, Darling of the Court, Fame, Gentry, Imperial Spouse, Inheritance, Leadership, Multiple Schools, Prodigy, Sacred Weapon, Sacrosanct, Servant, Social Position and any other that relate directly to influence and affluence. However, Bland Advantage and any other Advantage or Disadvantage with direct demonstrable link to the vassal family's area of specialisation are changed by 2 points, cumulative with other effects, to a minimum of 0, in character's favour (e.g. Nasu and Forbidden Knowledge: Gozoku, Tansaku and Bad Fortune: Yogo Curse, Fureheshu and Hands of Stone, Chukan and Sage). If the discount would bring the cost into negatives, the excess can be applied to the next instance of the Advantage (e.g. Reju can use it on another instance of College: Four Colleges, Suio - on next Language). |
