With an effort, Kenzo managed to force his expression into a serious one. "Of course, Utsu-sama." He murmured, inclining his head. "I assure you, I treat your works with the greatest of respect." He pursed his lips for a moment, searching for words. "Especially your poetry." Hopefully that would convey what he wanted to. Kenzo laughed as well. "Yes, please don't. I know better than to insult the people I depend on for food." He gave her an arch look. "Nor the people I depend on for tea. Even if you stick to that, it's a vital part of ship operation. Or so I feel, anyway." |

"Ah," she stopped briefly, her smile sincere as she seemed genuinly touched to hear his words. "Thank you..." "There is enough tea left for now," she chuckled, "so don't worry, you'll still have tea. Just don't... try the Mirumoto Tea Ceremony with the Captain, I don't think that would go over too well." |

Kenzo just smiled at her response, his cheeks flushed, clearly pleased by her reaction. The sun was dropping lower, growing a deeper red. The flush only deepened at her next comment. "Ah... no. No, no." He chuckled, shaking his head. "While I'd like to think that the Mirumoto tea ceremony is impressive-" He glanced quickly at Utsu, "-it's really not for everyone. Besides..." He gave a firm nod. "It's really only for Dragon. I wouldn't perform it for just anyone." |

"Hm, is that so?" she gave him an innocent look, despite the subject. "I don't think the Doji have anything like it, when I think about it..." Utsu stifled a yawn. It had been a long day, despite the calm. |

"Mmm." Kenzo acknowledged this blandly. "Indeed, it is something unique." Alert to her gestures, Kenzo caught the stifled yawn, having then to stifle one of his own, in the manner of those things. "Mmm. It's getting late, isn't it? And it's been a long day." He glanced out towards the setting sun once more, then back to her. "I should probably let you..." He trailed off, giving her a smile, a tinge of wistfulness in his eyes. |

"Mhm, it has been a long day," she nodded, moving the hand from her mouth to rub her neck. She too gave a last look at the sunset before looking back at him. Seeing the wistfulness in his eyes, her gaze lowered in return. "Ah... I think I will call it in for today. Thank you though, for a nice quiet moment with the sunset." |

"It was my pleasure, Utsu-sama." Kenzo said, his voice soft, his gaze still on her. "And I should thank you. Watching the sunset alone, I fear I was growing rather melancholy. Watching it with a good friend, I find my spirits quite lifted." And indeed, the slump in his shoulders had vanished entirely. There was still the trace of wistfulness in his eyes, but, well, parting was hard. |

Kenzo returned the bow. And the smile. "I look forward to it. Sleep well, Utsu-sama." He watched as she walked away. Letting out a puff of breath, Kenzo leaned against the railing, resting his wait on his hands as he looked out onto the ocean once more. /scene... unless Berena wants to talk now! |

Berena continued to translate her book... but she didn't look like a monster ready to kill someone. So Kenzo could speak to her if he so desired. |

After a time, Kenzo sighed. He turned, leaning back carefully against the railing. "Can I ask what you think of all of this, Muhaki-sama?" Kenzo asked, waving vaguely with one hand. |

Kenzo snorted. "I share your assesment, Muhaki-sama. It is not the first time we've seen eye to eye." He crossed his arms across his chest, looking at her, eyebrows raised expectantly, eyes glinting amusement. |

She chuckled and closed her book. After putting it away gently in her bag she walked up beside him and looked out to the sea. "I think it's gonna be alright... Wind's died down... but it'll pick back up again." |

Kenzo nodded. "Of course, objectively, I know you're right. My studies did include deep sea weather patterns. I know that this is something that happens from time to time." He sighed. "And yet... at the same time, it is entirely unfamiliar territory for us." |
