The Yamato Maru is a slightly more traditional design, aesthetics calling back to older vessels. Still, she's been made seaworthy and given many of the features expected of a modern vessel, even if the ship is lower, longer, and wider than might be preferred. Fitted with 2 Ballistae, one fore and one aft, and then a pair of smaller bola throwers amidships, along with a canvas covering for the tiller to protect from rain and arrows, she had been modified to serve as both a storehouse of sorts, and a fighting rearguard if needed. Though less impressive and visually striking, she still will serve her role in the fleet. Inside, she is split into three decks, the first deck consisting of the captain's quarters, first officer's quarters, and a shared officer's mess, before opening onto the main deck of the ship. Rokuro has divested his quarters, instead taking the walk in-closet included and using it as his quarters, freeing up the more spacious room for navigation, maps, and planning. The second deck holds the crew bunks in two rooms running parallel, one on each side of the corridor running the length of the ship, and after each bunkroom, the armory and crew mess respectively. At the end of the row are store-rooms and galley. The third deck contains the holds, split into a number of parallel holds, subdivided to defend against flooding, and loaded with supplies for the journey, in the full expectation that other vessels will be drawing on Yamato's stores before the journey ends. Two small holds at the end can be utilized as brig or strongroom, respectively, though they are not currently allotted the role. |

Imperial Navy Ship Yamato Maru Glory 1.0 Large Vessel (Capacity 4) Foreign Design Traditional Weaponry Location: Dragon’s Guard City Special: Due to exposure to the Fire Kami, Yamato Maru remains infused with their energy. Its planks have taken an orange hue and are slightly luminescent in the dark, while all fire burning on the ship is always bright and vivid. For better or worse, on the ship kami scarcity rules don't apply, and shugenja on it are considered to possess Elemental Imbalance (Fire). In addition, Sakkaku has retained its fondness of the ship: all who stay on it and are not Cursed by Sakkaku are considered Blessed by Sakkaku as long as they give in to and practice various mariner superstitions. Crew Captain: Miya Edogawa First Mate: Agasha Sanjuro Jade Magistrate: Seppun Hikari Shosuro Anzai Iuchi Ruqqayah Murad al-Maut (Moto Muraji) Mamluk Marines Boatswain: Quick Lopez Crew: Seasoned Sailors Crew: Priest Crew: Cook Crew: Shipwrights (2) Crew: Warriors (Rank 2) Much of the original design of the Yamato Maru remains intact. It still has many traditional aesthetic elements, some of which are actually enhanced by the odd glow of the old timber. It's modern features also remain, of course, structurally strengthened wherever possible. Fitted with 2 Ballistae, one fore and one aft, and then a pair of smaller bola throwers amidships, along with a canvas covering for the tiller to protect from rain and arrows. The Yamato Maru is somewhat deceptive as both a storehouse of sorts, and a fighting rearguard. It doesn't seem overly impressive in daylight, but The fiery visage its lanterns create at night can be quite intimidating. Inside, she is split into three decks, the first deck consisting of the captain's quarters, first officer's quarters, and a shared officer's mess, before opening onto the main deck of the ship. The modifications of the previous captain remain, freeing up the more spacious room for navigation, maps, and planning. The second deck holds the crew bunks in two rooms running parallel, one on each side of the corridor running the length of the ship, and after each bunkroom, the armory and crew mess respectively. At the end of the row are store-rooms and galley.
