"So you believe the Emperor is dead?" She asked.

"I do not have another explanation for the conversation I had or how I felt about it." he answered. "But, I cannot be certain."

"It that is true, it is quite concerning... but given the unusual nature of those passages I'm not sure we can trust that just yet... confirm with Jama if you can." She replied.

He nodded. "There is much I should speak with him about. We need to find a way to address those passages, too."

She nodded, "Did you speak with Yajinden about our trip to the snake-woman's ruins? I am still perplexed on what exactly happened there..."

"I did." he nodded. "He wasn't able to make as much sense of it as I had hoped. He suggested that the woman was a naga, as they have a connection to the Realm of Dreams. He also thought this island may be the last one that might be devoured. Which, would explain the increased presence of the mists and the attacks by the spiders. But, I'm still not sure what we can do."

"Did you talk to him about what it said about the 'white-haired' people?" She asked.

"Yes." he nodded. "But, he didn't say anything about it. Seppun Kaiya didn't either. I haven't spoken to the other Crane."

"Perhaps I should ask Utsusemi... she was a Crane before her marriage." Bellena thought.

"That's a good idea." he agreed. "It seems like something that must have happened long ago. Given that we're dealing with the spirit realms, the previous incident may have even been forgotten, like a dream."

Bellena tilted her head, "That would make it quite difficult to know anything about it then... once forgotten unless one still remained who remembered it, that type of information never comes back. "

"Exactly the problem." he nodded. "All We can do is continue looking for an answer."

She nodded, "I suppose so..."

She leaned back a bit in her chair and thought for a moment after looking at the ceiling. After a bit she asked, "So what are your plans for the days ahead then? I take it you aren't returning back to Rokugan immediately."

"I need to make sure the Yamato is fully crewed and ready to sail." he shrugged. "I should inspect the rest of the fleet as well and address any damage. What about you?"

"Completion of the Temple of Sadahako. Marriage... and preparations for Merenae." She replied.

"Marriage... I wish you both all the happiness you can have." he smiled. "Has a location been selected for the temple?"

She nodded, “Thank you. I trust we will find happiness. You may want to think about finding some of your own out here as well. The temple has been under construction for a couple of weeks now on the top of Mt. Kappa.

"My happiness won't be out here much longer." he said wistfully. "I'll try to visit the temple soon. It would do me some good, I think."

She pursed her lips with interest, “So you have a woman in your life?

"She is my life." he replied. "Withou her, I would be the worst things you think of me."
