"My previous living arrangements fell through. After speaking an unexpected and fortuitous meeting with Bellena, she offered to come with me to introduce myself and ask if you would be willing to host." |

Juanito considered. "There is no shortage of rooms here at La Finca. If Senorita de Quijano has already suggested it it would be a failure of hospitality on my part to deny you shelter as you are clearly a friend of the household. Mi casa es su casa, as they say, Senorita." He smiled back after that. |

"Gracias, Señor," she replies, letting out a soft breath and thanking her lucky stars he hadn't asked a lot of questions. "I am deeply grateful for your generous hospitality. I'm familiar with many cultures and languages, and I'm skilled with healing of injuries and disease. I hope the need for the latter never becomes an issue during my stay, but please call if you have any need of me. It's the least I could do." |

Now, if you excuse me, the bailiffs need instructions what to say to the tenants about today's harvest." He nodded with a small smile and redirected his attention to the business at hand. It was a good time to resolve matters with him when he was busy. |
