Kitsu Keiji Age: 16 Gender: Male Unmarried
Appearance
Keiji is a young man with an athletic build, with flashing dark eyes and strong facial features. His long black hair has hints of reddish highlights, usually bound up in a warrior's topknot. His voice is strong and steady, and he has been known to sing on occasion. His clothing is sturdy and functional, and he keeps his swords polished mirror-bright.
Background
Raised in a traditional family, Keiji was exposed to progressive ideas during his education in West Hub Village and Dragon's Guard City, and he has walked a fine line between the two ever since. A skilled sailor, his proudest moment was captaining the winning ship in last year's Imperial Regatta; a talent which has led to his reassignment from junior quartermaster to become a Lion naval officer in the Imperial Explorers - despite his clan's overall opposition to Jama's exploration initiative.
Despite professing the official Lion position on traditional virtues and military tactics, Keiji is not always so serious, sometimes even having been seen to smile. There is excitement in his voice when the Imperial Explorers talk of discovering new lands for the Emperor.
