Name: Doji Haruka Sex: Female Age: 21 Height: 1.65m Body: Athletic Hair: White Eyes: Blue Appearance Cold. Stern. Stoic. These are the words that describe the demeanor of Doji Haruka and her appearance has been shaped by that demeanor. There is a sharpness to her features that, rather than lending strength, only underlined the fragility of it all as if Haruka were a sculpture of carved ice. There is also an almost obsessive attention to precision detail to Haruka, who spends her time in the mornings preening and ensuring that no hair or stroke of cosmetics or swath of fabric in her garments is out of place. Haruka's kimono tend to eschew the flashy designs she would be entitled to as a maiden, preferring instead a conservative trend in cut and manner of wear. Her expression shows through in the vibrancy of the colors she chooses to wear, though her tendency is still to play it safe - with complementary or harmonious palettes rather than bold contrasts. Public Knowledge Having graduated from the House of the Aurora, Doji Haruka comes from a distant branch of the ruling Doji family: she may be some number of steps removed from the branch in power currently, but she is Doji and the knowledge of that has shaped her life every step of the way. Entering the Emerald magistracy out of college, Haruka was engaged in duties as a clerk of the law where she was tasked with the act of codifying, re-codifying, or clarifying the parts of the Empire's body of laws and legal precedent. To that end, she's participated in a number of the annual gatherings of Emerald Magistrates, known as the Hashira Horitsu, to have done her small part in shaping the law of Rokugan. As of late, Haruka has emerged from behind the mountains of scrolls that defined her life and has been assigned to the field as a Magistrate in her own right, travelling the breadth of the Empire to hear matters and administer the Emperor's justice directly. Her latest duties have taken her to Dragon's Guard City in the wake of the Tsukuro Affair. Hooks - As an alumna of the House of the Aurora, maybe you met Haruka in those halls? - Have you interacted with the legal system of Rokugan? As an up-and-comer in that part of the Empire, you may have crossed paths with this Doji in the course of her duties. - Crane and Imperials would have had cause to come across Haruka at their courts, where she was present in a capacity of either advising on the law...or dispensing it. |
