Public Knowledge:
Iuchi Ruqqayah is the only child of Iuchi Kandagauri and Husniya al Basiri, though this wasn't always the case. She was one of a pair of twins, the elder being her brother Bashiri. Asking Ruqqayah, she would assert he was the better of the two of them without any ill will. He was a prodigy of the Iuchi's method and a hard worker, and she was content to support him. However, he met his untimely end not long ago. Since then, Ruqqayah herself has thrown herself deep into her studies, becoming more reclusive and focused. She's gained a reputation for her toughness, determination, and intelligence since then. No one has recovered from Bashiri's death yet in the family, but there's at least some hope for the Family in Ruqqayah's focus.
However, she recently left home, not on her parents' will, disappearing off to Kameyama Jima to try and expand her knowledge. A deep need to know burns in her chest, though few know her fully reasons.
Appearance:
Ruqqayah is a smaller woman who carries a combination of her mother and fathers' looks that confuse Rokugani. She hides uncut black hair under a headscarf most of the time, leaving her eyebrows the only hint of the dark color, and her eyes are large and light green. Her nose is a little larger than what most of the Clans are used to. She still dresses in kimono, with the edges of her scarf tucked beneath the collar. Her clothes aren't plain, made from elaborate fabrics that imply her status, but she tends to wear them relatively simply, without many accessories. She is focused completely on her studies and activities and has little time or patience for going to a lot of extra effort on her appearance.
