Bellena followed along wondering how it was that Jama could take such decent people and turn them into dishonorable and self-serving criminals. What about this man drew this kind of devotion on authority alone...?
Her heart was filled with disappointment as they trudged the road back towards civilization.

They would come across an easier way back, leading back to the western side of the island across the surface, along and down a cliff ridge. They would arrive at Genta's Mill where a local handyman would help them pry the thing open. Inside, there would be another map piece wrapped in letters and a will. Those who read in Thranish would learn that Malcolm had been the son of Isambard Moss, and the map piece had been originally his, with Roger Plummer being his nom-de-guerre, probably after his beloved and now dead parrot. Once his bastard son with Belladonna contracted leprosy Isambard considered it a sign of a curse for his defiance of Kharsis during his buccaneer years, purchased the inn and got rid of the rest of his earthly possessions in favour of his son to appease his conscience, hoping for the boy to buy himself a cure with it, or whatever life money can buy. It was all written as if Isambard had or would have had already passed though, as it even contained the deed for the inn...?
In addition, the chest contained a small treasure, worth about a hundred koku depending on how much one would pay for the jewellery. Some of the accessories were decidedly Rokugani in origin though whether they were purchases or plunder was hard to tell. Some pieces would probably have numismatic/antique value. But there would also be a piece Ruqqayah would easily recognise as a golden signet seal... with the Ide mon.
/The Scene is over. Decide what to do with the spoils off-screen.
Upon turning in the map piece, each of you receives +20 VIP as per normal rules.
