She raised her hands. "I'm not mocking you. I'm a sahir from the Tarkhanate. I've dedicated my life to healing. I can cure disease."

Kaiya knew not enough Sahir's magic, but she believed that the woman believed and she had certainly seen the power behind those who could do such arcane things. There was little doubt in Kaiya's own mind that the woman could do what she claimed to do. Thus offering her support to the woman's credit was of little consequence.

Bellena tilted her head, "She is a healer among her people... don't have much to lose."

The man stared.

"I... I would five up every earthly treasure to make it happen."

He lowered the musket.

Ruqqayah stepped forward slowly so as not to rile him up again. "I'll need to touch you. Is that all right?"

"If it is alright with you..." He put the musket handle against the ground, his eyes flaring with hope.

Kaiya sheathed her blade once the man had finally lowered his own weapon, though it was clear to her where intentions lay. Finding the time to approach as the others spoke she stood by the side. Awaiting the moment that the man might offer them the information they had sought.

She smiled and approached the man, putting a hand on his shoulder without fear. "Of course."

She closed her eyes and took a deep breath, forming the seal in her mind and manipulating it with ease.

While Ruqqayah's magic truly eradicated Mycobacterium leprae from the man's body it could not do facial reconstruction or return his skin to condition before the illness. Some regeneration would take time, some parts would never truly heal. Nor the man would know immediately that he's better.

"The itch has subsided. The dim pain is there. Has anything really happened?" He looked at his hands.

"The cause of the sickness is gone. Your body needs time to heal and recover now that it's finally free of what was hurting it. It won't do any more damage," she explained. She sighed. "I don't know if you'll be able to recover everything. Some damage may be permanent. But you won't die from it."

Miraculous as it may be, as kind as it may be, Kaiya stepped forward to grab the Sahir's attention. This was not what they had come here for but a means to an end. Hoping her own less passive presence might remind the woman of that fact.

She looked toward her and nodded. "I know, I haven't forgotten. We've done what was promised. We need the map."

The man sighed, looking up. Maybe he had expected more, but he felt the Unicorn sahir was telling the truth. "I'll show my gratitude for what you did. Malcolm had told me where his father's chest is hidden before he died. I'll lead you there." He showed deeper into the tunnels. "Now it's your turn to trust me."

Bellena nodded and stood, "Thank you sir."

Nodded, moving to follow.

The walk would be very long and tiring, and the more they would go into the earth the hotter it would become, but after getting worn out and all sweaty like wet tee misses, they would actually be suddenly hit by a breeze of sweet, fresh, mountainous wind as they would soon emerge...

"The chest is sunken into this blue lake in the spot Carrigan marked." The leader of lepers said.

Bellena nodded, “Thank you sir... what is your name?”

"Bozu. My family came here from Rokugan, but I have no connection to it except for the language spoken at home." He shrugged, then pointed toward a spot along a narrow ledge over the lake. "It should be there."

"Thank you, Bozu," she agreed, looking out to see if she can see a good way out there and back.
