Now this...this was something he enjoyed! While the smell in the air and the language spoken where foreign to him he felt like home. Mindful of his purse, he moved in the crowded streets with the ease of a fish in water watching the stalls carefully.

He probably was noticeable amongst the others though: the Mantis had chosen to go shirtless save a green haori adorned with the Mantis of his clan

A girl he almost bumped into twirled around her axis, brushing shoulder against shoulder as her deft fingers swept behind Susumu's ear.

When some girl he almost bumped into swirled around Susumu had reflexively took a step back, shifting is left arm towards his back as to subtly swipe away any attempts at his purse.

He was not born yesterday, after all.

As the girl produced a coin from his ear he realised she probably was good enough to take a few coins without him knowing any better

He supposed that this was some sort of performance and that Mereanese might be the better language

He narrowed his eyes trying to decypher the young woman's words...and could not help but laugh at the comment. That would be unheard of back home

Susumu was more comfortable now that he could speak Invidi. He gave the girl a bright smile

''Thank you for the compliment. I have sailed to the Ivory Kindom a few times and learned their language as a result.''

He arched one eyebrow in amusement

"Sadly? Is it something you can't make your mind about?" She twirled to his front and poked his sternum with her elegant finger. Copper bangles jiggled on her wrist, as did the long earrings dangling from her mostly covered ears. "I could pay you..." She rolled the coin in her hand.

"Trap? Sri, there can only be one way I can think of now I could entrap you, and not for long!" She giggled sultrily, taking his hand and interlacing fingers with his. "I know just the right place for you and I to feast on local specialities."

The Mantis grinned, pulling her closer but still following her

"I'll take it as a sign of your appreciation only if you repeat it after you've seen her!"

She tickled up his said, the cool bangles moving up against his kin with her fingers as they were moving deeper into the alley.

He removed her hand from his hipbone to take it in his hand instead. While he did not mind her attitude...his Rokugani sensibilities were bound to kick in at some point
