The temple was managing without her, there were no other concerns pressing at her right at the moment... Utsusemi sent a few words to people she considered trustworthy to help her reclaim what could possibly heirlooms and knowledge that belonged to her clan, despite the circumstances of Kasuga's death.

A small distance away from the shrine, she waited for those who would join her, dressed in a dark green traditional kimono with a pattern of waves and flowers. The satchel over her shoulder did not have its usual paint supplies this time, but felt heavier with the added weight of a few bottles she had brought in hopes of smoothing things over with the old folks.

Kenzo had come along with her, acting in his role as yojimbo. Not that he especially thought that the old men were dangerous, but nevertheless...

He wore one of his simple work kimonos, albeit the finest one, his expression bright and cheerful. At least, up until they arrived.

"Right." He said, giving her a wry smile. "I was half-asleep last time I was here. So perhaps my impression of them is a little off. But..." He shrugged.

Yasuhiro wasn't all that interested in the shrine to Kasuga, honestly in his opinion it should probably be razed to the ground.

Still the Dragon woman had asked, and while he didn't feel indebted to her, he liked her company a bit more then most of the other explorers he met. Entering the area behind her, he kept an eye open for possible dangers.

Taking a break from drilling the crew, Edogawa sought peace and inspiration. He needed new ways to motivate his sailors. So, he returned to the shrine, hoping to finally go through the items he'd asked the monks to set aside. He wasn't expecting what he found.

He approached the other gathered samurai with a quizzical expression.

There was some party going on, with rum and shanties.

Anzai had been surprised when he received the missive to come, to lend aid. He would be busy later on, so he arrived in his simple kimono, hair tied back tightly. The young Scorpion looked to the other samurai as he approached.

The shanty was... interesting to hear. Something that seemed out of place with the shrine.

Utsu will make it clear that she has no intention of a violent confrontation. Stealth is not something she is good at, but if she and another keep the geezers occupied, it could be easier for the others to look around inside?

Edogawa couldn't help but hum a little as he listened to the shanty. He wasn't sure what was going on, but he had no interest in harming the old men.

Yasuhiro was here to aide Utsu, and while he didn't like the old men or their bawdy song. They way they defiled the Shrine of a traitor to the Empire seemed somewhat fitting. It was the perfect picture of Gaijin ways, and how the tortoise had accepted them and abandoned Rokugani teachings.

Still he couldn't help but frown as the Miya hummed along. Though the expression disappeared in moments. "How should we proceed?" He inquired after a few moments.

"I would prefer not to have a violent confrontation with the those who live here," there was a mild expression of disapproval for said denizens on her face. Even if Kasuga had been executed a traitor, they had still treated a shrine as a hive of scum and... uncleanliness. "Though I cannot make any assurances of how they will meet us as they have been rather improper in the past. If possible, I would prefer to avoid causing any fuss or trouble... as I only wish to know if there is anything left behind by Agasha Kasuga here that would be important to my Family, and if there is, return it home. It is the right thing to do, after all."

It was, after all, unseemly that what could be clan secrets were kept here in Tortoise land.

"There were a lot of things kept here." Edogawa shrugged. "I didn't see anything specifically of Agasha Kasuga, but I only inspected them briefly. We should be able to find some way to reason with these men, regardless."

"Likewise, I didn't find anything in particular last time I was here, but... it had been a stressful day and I did not have much time to check." That she wasn't very perceptive when it came to such things was best left unsaid.

"... I did bring some gifts with me," her hand slipped into the satchel, retrieving a bottle of shochu. The label had an angry-looking red crab wielding a tetsubo in one of its pincers. "As it seems to be among the few things that interest them."

"Well, if a few of you wish to entertain them, I suppose the rest of us can look around." The Lion offered after a moment. There was no reason they couldn't split up after all. Though he hoped he wouldn't be grouped together with the Scorpion.

In the meantime, merriment was had.

"Mhm, I think that is a sound idea, Matsu-san." Utsusemi nodded in agreement. And it might be best that she did not go speak with the old men again, considering how much they seemed to dislike her the last time, or how they mostly ignored her the first time.

"Matsu-san and Mirumoto-san could look around? Both Shosuro-san and Miya-san speak Merenaese well, after all, and I think they would be more welcoming to you two..." as they were men. At least that is what Utsusemi reasoned.

"Alright." the Miya nodded. Accepting the bottle of shochu, he moved towards the singing.

"Ahoy! Do you have room for more?" he lifted the bottle high.

Kenzo's lips pressed together for a few moments. It wasn't really the arrangement he would have preferred, either.

He bowed. "As you wish, Utsusemi-sama." He said. "Although Matsu-sama and I will be unable to explain ourselves." Another brief hesitation. "We'll be nearby if you need us." It hardly seemed necessary to say, but, well, he was her yojimbo, after all.

"Come over, Senor! The next stanza is on you!" A geezer called from the hall where the outside screens facing the water had been removed.

Anzai followed Edogawa in, before leaning in closer to the other man. His voice barely above a whisper. "If needed, i may be able to suss out the information from them, as we tempt them with the shochu." He was careful enough to make sure only Edogawa heard him.

"Do what you can, Shosuro-san." He nodded, before joining the group and begining to sing, badly.
