No, since they have nothing to do with commanding crews.

Are we also supposed to be doing the "Squadron Management" actions described under Commodore Station during Month 3? I guess we are already doing Long-distance travel; I'm wondering if I should also be planning Drills, Repairs, etc.

Everyone is presumed to be executing "Long Distance Travel" for this first interlude. I talked with Kannon though and she was okay with people also taking an action that didn't relate to wandering off. So Drills and Repairs are both acceptable to either double your next action or to help keep the ship fully functional by the time you finish the journey, but the other options are not available since that would require leaving the fleet and Jama still has need of all of his captains until the initial voyage is over.

Void Recovery during the event is a nono. Before and after, cool.

I said it can be a combat roll, and it's the first because it's the only one, so I'd apply +1k0.

Sure. A lot of if you feel prolific. As long as you have supplies for it.

If you are not ambushed or otherwise surprised, then you may apply the kata without activation. Otherwise, you will need to spend a Simple Action to adopt the stance.

To clarify this, everyone is currently executing Long Distance Travel but they may also either Drill or Repair since the travel is story mandated.
