Hmmm...

I think I am a little confused by the VIP-rewards from Gone With The Wind-event.

Is this the combined result of the crew on a specific ship, that is doubled?

My confusion is because the last post with rewards and outcomes says that the Kunshu crew got 32 VIP, but their score was 26 points in total (10 from Bellena, 5 from Utsu, 5 from Keiji, 2 from Kenzo, 4 from Ringo), so if twice the amount, it should be 52?

The count starts above the target. With your 26 you are 16 over since you had 10 to cover, so 32 after doubling.

Ah. Fair enough, but it's not made clear in the original text, as it says "awarded the result in VIP".

Yeah, it could have been more clear. It was implied by where this level of reward appeared.

I'd say no. You need cleanup, you're not alone in the fleet, and report on the ship's condition would have to be made at the time. Let's give survivors some time alone.

Do we have any particular orders from the Imperial Admiral on whether to regard the locals as friendly, neutral or hostile? Or are we free to bungle things on our own?

You are meant to establish contact. Do diplomacy, bring back feedback. Preferably make them sail aside and let you enter ports.

I believe you mentioned we could try and retry if we fail the S&R event using investigation. Just making sure this is correct. Also do we need the search emphasis to use it? As per investigation 3.
